Kartanya Maynard
Storyteller
Kartanya Maynard is a trawlwoolway woman of nipaluna/Hobart in lutruwita/Tasmania. Since a young age Kartanya has been a storyteller and always aspired to be an artist. She has gone onto establishing herself as a musician, actor and poet. She has graduated from the UTAS Conservatorium of Music with a Bachelor of Music and has gone onto perform for numerous festivals such as Mona Foma and Panama Festival. She recently made her acting debut in the 2020 Archipelago production of Angus Cerini’s ‘The Bleeding Tree’ where she starred alongside Marta Dusseldorp and Jane Johnson.
